Opening at Our New Location
April 21, 2012
Scotch Plains Mayor Nancy Malool, left, and Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr, right, join members of the Fanwood-Scotch Plains Service League in celebrating the grand opening of the League's relocated thrift shop at 1741 East Second Street in Scotch Plains. The League's jubilant ribbon cutters are long-term volunteers and past presidents Donna Kuhn, Cena Pollitt, Claire Nagy, and Ann Pappas. This is the League's fourth location in Scotch Plains and it's now even better than ever!
Current Service League President Kathleen Meyer, center, accepts a Joint Legislative Resolution from NJ Assemblywoman Linda Stender, right, recognizing the League's near 40 year history of serving the communities of Scotch Plains and Fanwood and congratulating the members on the opening of the new shop. Shop proceeds are given annually to benefit local and area organizations, especially those that serve women and youth, and to provide scholarships for students who have a record of volunteerism in the community. Mayor Mahr of Fanwood looks on during the presentation. |
